Aug/17/04 Jumper has been shot with a pellet gun!
Last weeks journal discussed how Jumper was severely swollen below the left ear.
Upon breaking the area, severe drainage began. There was a tuff of gray black, I assumed was hair and continued to treat his wound.
Two days later, he began scratching while he kept me company pulling weeds and out flew a pellet into the grass. He remains with a wound approx. 1/4" in depth and 1/2" in width! I brought him into Shelter #2 immediately, washed him with a clean damp warm rag and applied an antibiotic cream. To be on the safe side, I gave him a shot of Chlor Balm internally. It's an awefully large hole, I am concerned, but with Fluffy just passing away at the Vets just this past weekend, funds are in debit and I have to treat this at home the best I can. |
